About the Client

Our client, Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), is a global leader in commercial real estate services. As a Fortune 500 company, JLL provides property management, investment management, and development services across 80 countries, employing over 91,000 people. Their goal is to shape the future of real estate with innovative, technology-driven solutions.

The Client's Initial Request

JLL partnered with DBB Software to redesign its platform's user interface and improve the overall user experience, aiming to increase engagement, usability, and visual consistency across the application:

Modern Visual Identity

Replace the existing design with a fresh, contemporary interface that better reflects JLL's brand and market position.

01

Improved User Journeys

Rethink navigation flows and page layouts to reduce friction and guide users toward key actions more intuitively.

02

Data-Driven Validation

A/B test the new design against the existing version to confirm measurable improvements in user engagement and behavior.

03

Performance-Optimized Architecture

Migrate the platform to a modern framework that supports faster page loads and on-demand content updates.

04

Solutions We Delivered

DBB Software led a full-cycle platform redesign, from UX research and interface design through frontend and backend implementation, validating every major decision with real user data before rolling out changes:

UI/UX Redesign

The team designed and built a completely new interface for the web application using Figma for prototyping and ReactJS functional components for implementation. The redesign focused on visual consistency, clearer information hierarchy, and smoother user journeys that reduced friction across key workflows.

A/B Testing and Analytics Validation

Ran A/B tests comparing the original and redesigned versions. User analytics confirmed the new design outperformed the original across engagement metrics, giving JLL confidence to proceed with a full rollout.

NextJS Migration with On-Demand SSG

Migrated the platform to a newer version of NextJS that supported static site generation. The team implemented an on-demand PDP (Product Detail Page) refresh mechanism: whenever product data changed, the corresponding static page was regenerated and served immediately through Akamai CDN, combining the speed of static pages with the freshness of dynamic content.

Backend Updates

Updated the backend (NestJS) to support the new design requirements and the SSG refresh workflow, ensuring data changes triggered page regeneration reliably and the platform maintained performance under the new architecture.

Data Transfer

Faster Content Updates Without Performance Trade-Offs

The on-demand SSG approach meant product pages reflected data changes almost immediately while still being served as static assets through Akamai CDN, delivering both speed and accuracy.

Validated Engagement Improvements

A/B testing confirmed the new design outperformed the original, providing data-backed evidence of improved user engagement and interaction patterns before full deployment.
