DBB Software Scope for Muse
Last updated: 04.11.2026
DBB Software Scope is a connector for Meta's Muse. It turns a short description of a software project into a free Scope Document: a branded multi-page PDF with an executive summary, functional and non-functional requirements, an architecture outline, ADRs, a milestone plan, team setup and a risk register. DBB Software Sp. z o.o. runs it. It needs no account and no sign-in.
How it works
Ask Muse to scope your project. The connector queues the document and gives Muse a job id and an access key. The document is usually ready in 5 to 10 minutes. Muse checks its status, then shares the download link, and can email the PDF to an address you name. You can delete the document at any time.
Connector address: https://dbbsoftware.com/mcp/muse
A planning draft: not a quote, and not legal, medical or financial advice. Intended for users aged 18 and over.
Where it works
Available wherever Meta's Muse is, currently the US and Canada. Documents are written in English.
Tools
The connector has four tools. These are the descriptions it gives Muse, word for word.
Generate Scope Document (generate_scope_document)
Generate a free DBB Software Scope Document: a branded multi-page PDF that scopes a software project (executive summary, functional and non-functional requirements, architecture outline, ADRs, a milestone plan, team setup and a risk register). ASYNC: this call queues the job and returns a jobId and an accessKey within a few seconds; the document is usually ready in 5-10 minutes. No email address is collected at this step. Poll check_document_status with the jobId and the accessKey every 60-90 seconds until it reports ready, then share its download link; email_document can also deliver the PDF to an inbox the user names. The accessKey is shown only in this result: keep it for this user, since check_document_status, email_document and forget_me require it with the jobId. Repeating exactly the same request within 10 minutes, while the first document is still queued, returns the same jobId with a new accessKey instead of starting a second document; once that document has started, the same request starts a new one. If the user has links to a spec, a repository, a deck or comparable products, pass up to 6 in sourceUrls: the document lists each link and says whether it was analysed. An undelivered document is held for 7 days after it is ready. Once emailed, the download link stays valid for about 7 days. forget_me deletes a document at any time. The document contains no pricing or hour estimates. A planning draft: not a quote, and not legal, medical or financial advice. Intended for users aged 18 and over.
Check Document Status (check_document_status)
Check the status of a document created by generate_scope_document, by the jobId and the accessKey it returned. Returns the state (queued, drafting, rendering, ready, failed or not_found). When ready it adds the project name, the plan when available (its length in weeks and, when known, a suggested team size) and a direct download link for the PDF; when failed it adds a reason and whether generating the document again is likely to work. Generation usually takes 5-10 minutes: poll every 60-90 seconds until it reports ready. An undelivered document is held for 7 days after it is ready. Once emailed, the download link stays valid for about 7 days. A planning draft: not a quote, and not legal, medical or financial advice. Intended for users aged 18 and over.
Email Document PDF (email_document)
Email a document (from generate_scope_document, identified by its jobId and accessKey) to the recipient as a secure download link. A document still being prepared is emailed once it is ready. Requires explicit recipient consent (consent="true"). The address is used only to deliver this document: it is not added to any mailing list and DBB Software sends nothing else to it. Idempotent per document: if the document was already emailed, the call returns already_sent without sending again. Deliveries are limited per recipient email per calendar month. An undelivered document is held for 7 days after it is ready. Once emailed, the download link stays valid for about 7 days. A planning draft: not a quote, and not legal, medical or financial advice. Intended for users aged 18 and over.
Delete Document Data (forget_me)
Delete a document and the data stored for it, by jobId and accessKey: the job record, the PDF, the structured document, the queued request with its project description, and the delivery markers. A document that is still being generated is stopped and never delivered. This cannot be undone, and download links stop working at once. Not affected: an email already delivered, a PDF the user already downloaded, and processing logs kept by DBB Software's service providers for their stated retention periods (see dbbsoftware.com/privacy-policy). Without the jobId and accessKey, the user can email in@dbbsoftware.com to request deletion.
Tool | Type | What goes in | What comes back | What it changes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Generate Scope Document | Write | A project description (40 to 8,000 characters), optionally the industry, the kind of project and up to 6 links | A job id and an access key, within seconds | Starts a document. No email is collected and nothing is sent. |
Check Document Status | Read | The job id and the access key | The status (queued, drafting, rendering, ready, failed or not found); when ready, the project name, the plan (when available) and a download link; when failed, the reason and whether trying again should work | Nothing |
Email Document PDF | Sensitive write (Muse asks every time) | The job id, the access key, the email address and the user's consent | Sent, scheduled (it goes out as soon as the document is ready) or already sent | Sends one email with a download link to that address. Nothing else is ever sent to it. |
Delete Document Data | Sensitive write (Muse asks every time) | The job id, the access key and a confirmation | Deleted, or not found | Deletes the document and its data at once. Cannot be undone. |
What we keep and how to delete it
A document not emailed is kept for 7 days after it is ready, and an email can be requested while it is still being prepared. An emailed link works for about 7 days. forget_me deletes a document at any time. Without the document's id and access key, write to in@dbbsoftware.com.

Errors
When a request cannot be done, the connector says why and whether to try again: for example, the hourly or daily limit is reached, generation is busy for a moment, or no document matches the id and access key. A wrong access key gets the same answer as a document that does not exist.
Limits
A project description of up to 8,000 characters.
10 documents an hour per connection.
3 deliveries a month to one email address.
60 requests a minute per IP address, and 10 a minute each for generating, emailing and deleting.
